The homonymous vineyard, located in the heart of Valpolicella Classica, gives rise to this exclusive wine.
The Italian name “la Permuta” that means barter, comes from the past where the grapes of this vineyard were known for their unique traits, and thus they were subjected to exchanges among local farmers. The sunny position, the hilly and calcareous soil and the ideal microclimate, lend to this wine superior features.
Aging
Succeeding various stages of vinification, the wine rests in small/medium sized oak barrels for some months, and concludes with bottle refining.
Organoleptic profile
Garnet red colour, intense and articulate wine. Hints of nutmeg, coffee, liquorice, cherry, dehydrated plum and an elegant balsamic scent on the nose. In the mouth prevails a fruity note with an elegant acid streak. The body is full and robust with a soft texture.
